If Your Girlfriend is Over the Age of 25...You are in Trouble. Part 1

According to science, our brains' prefrontal lobes don't mature until age 25. This is why the cost of car insurance drops when we turn 25. The prefrontal lobes are the part of the brain that allow us to make good decision. Consequently, we make good relationship decision after the age 25. Are you catching on yet?

If your girlfriend is over the age of 25 and she is still with you, then you are pretty much in "trouble." If she has told you that she want to spend the rest of her life with you (post age 25), then she is probably like 99% not going to change her mind anytime soon unless you become a douche-bag quick. You can look at this from a logical standpoint. You have pampered her for a while, provided comfort for her in her time of need, and have helped her deal with some of her inner most insecurities. More importantly, you have relayed to the "I-need-security-chick-a-ramous", that you are husband material by staying faithful and committed. Quite frankly, you may have done this to yourself.

Honestly, you are one step away from waking up to the same person for the rest of your life. Before you know it, you will be spending your weekends going to IKEA looking for matching living room items, taking salsa lessons, and dreading the day she gives you the ultimatum for "her" engagement ring. At this point, you should be thinking about exit strategies if you do not see yourself with her for the rest of your life.
